PLUG-IN Solar

SOLAR POWER MADE SIMPLE

Want to generate your own electricity without the cost and complexity of a traditional rooftop solar installation?

GreenLoop is introducing a simple plug in solar solution from UKSOL, designed to make small scale solar generation accessible to homes, farms, rural businesses, holiday accommodation and other suitable properties. Position it - Plug it - Start generating

Not everyone needs - or wants - a large conventional solar installation.

You may rent a property. Your roof may not be suitable. You may have a workshop, stable yard, glamping unit or outbuilding where a full solar installation simply doesn't make financial sense.

Plug in solar offers another option.

The system uses solar panels to generate electricity during daylight hours, helping to supply electricity being used at the property and reducing the amount that needs to be purchased from the grid. It is a straightforward way to put unused outdoor space to work generating renewable electricity.

GreenLoop is working with UKSOL, a British solar PV manufacturer, to introduce its Duo plug-in solar system to the rural market. The Duo provides a compact two panel solar generation system suitable for a wide range of applications - No huge rooftop array - No major solar project - Just practical, accessible solar generation.

Where could you use it?

Plug-in solar could be particularly useful where electricity is being consumed throughout the daytime. Think about the equipment quietly using electricity every day:

The objective isn't necessarily to power everything. Its to generate electricity day after day, year after year from space that might otherwise be doing nothing.

Why GreenLoop likes plug-in solar

We spend a lot of time looking for practical renewable energy solutions for rural properties. Traditional rooftop solar can be excellent, but it isn't right for every situation. Plug-in solar potentially fills the gap between doing nothing and installing a complete conventional solar system. For many people it could provide a much simpler first step into generating their own electricity.

What will it actually power?

Solar specifications are usually given in watts and kilowatt-hours - but what does that mean in everyday life? During daylight conditions, the electricity generated by a UKSOL Duo can help cover the power being used by everyday equipment such as: Mini Fridge / CCTV system / Wi Fi Router / TV / Radio / Laptop / Phone chargers / Battery chargers / Electric fencing

In good generating conditions, the system may be producing enough electricity to cover several low-energy items operating at the same time. Think of it as helping cover the everyday background electricity you are already paying for - using solar energy generated right outside.
